About Me
Hello there and thank you so much for taking your time to check us out! My name is Maggie and I am the sole owner and provider at A Place To Grow Daycare.
I have been working in the childcare industry for over 15 years now and truly believe that this is the calling that God put in my heart years ago. I have worked in a daycare facility as an infant teacher and as a personal family Nanny before deciding to open my own business in 2013.
A little bit about me and my background; I was one of four children growing up so family is very important to me. I grew up in Southern California for most of my childhood and moved to Oregon in 1996. My husband and I met in high school and were married in 2005. In 2008 welcomed our oldest boy. In 2012, God blessed us with another amazing little boy! And boy #3 arrived in June of 2017. Life as a mom of boys has been one full of Leogs and cars, mud and superheros, wrestling and hugs, bugs and rocks, but nothing short of a blessing! Some things I enjoy are camping and hiking, fitness, reading (when a mom has time), college and professional football, cooking fun recipes with my kids, and a new found interest- gardening. We also have a fur baby, ESPN, who is a four year old lovable and gentle Bernese Mountain Dog.
Family is very important to me and I understand that leaving your child in the care of others can be a tough decision. It is my promise to nurture and care for your child while helping them feel comfortable and welcome in my home-based environment. My goal is to help your children to feel at home in my home and for them to look forward to joining us!
